Chicago transit system ad campaign draws praise and support.

November 18, 2010. Beginning on October 4, CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) riders viewed dozens of campaign ads inside train cars and on waiting platforms. The posters, appearing in two versions, urge an end to U.S. military aid to Israel and direct readers to the companion website, www.TwoPeoplesOneFuture.org. The signs will be phased out over the next few weeks as the contracted term ends.

The response has been terrific. In just a few weeks, thousands of visitors have flocked to the website and hundreds of people have joined our active Facebook page. Interest in the campaign extends far beyond the Chicago area; coverage on popular blogs has drawn visitors to the website from 48 countries around the globe.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! Our ability to launch this ambitious campaign rests on support and participation from friends and allies throughout the Chicago area. We’ve been privileged to work alongside numerous individuals as well as members of the American Friends Service Committee, Arab-Jewish Partnership, Jewish Voice for Peace, and the Chicago Faith Coalition. We are also indebted to the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, a national organization of over 300 member groups, which has shared key resources and expertise with us.
