Albuquerque and the Coalition to Stop $30 Billion to Israel are proud to join the “Be on our side” campaign.

March 11, 2011. The Coalition to Stop $30 Billion to Israel (www.stop30billion.org) is proud to announce the launch of the “Be on our side” campaign in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On March 10, 2011, three billboards were unveiled promoting a message of peace between Israel and the Palestinian people. The billboards are scheduled to remain in place for three months. The billboards seek to educate and inform passersby throughout Albuquerque that both Palestinians and Israelis are working for a justice-based peace and that American aid to Israel is an obstacle to that peace.

The Coalition to Stop $30 Billion plans to erect two more billboards with the same campaign message, and to keep all five billboards up for a twelve-month period. The artwork, which is printed on a convenient material that can be easily transferred among locations, will appear at various billboard locations throughout Albuquerque over the course of the next year.

To reach its inspiring goal, Coalition activists are in the process of raising $12,000. You can help by making a generous contribution using the PayPal button below.

Albuquerque is the third U.S. city to launch a “Be on our side” media campaign, following Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area. Plans are underway to expand the campaign to other major media markets in early 2011.
The Coalition to Stop $30 Billion to Israel is a pioneer in the use of outdoor advertising to focus public attention on the Israel-Palestine issue. In 2009, the Coalition erected ten billboards in Albuquerque. Only three weeks into the two-month contract period, the billboards were removed by the advertising company, generating outcries nationwide and overseas. A single billboard with a different message was installed, and that billboard remained in place during 2010. The Coalition encourages anyone interested in peace in the Middle East to consider erecting billboards with the “Be On Our Side” message in their own community.
